Dr. Oliver Wisco, DO, FAAD, FACMS
American Board of Dermatology
Area of Specialization
Dr. Wisco is a board-certified dermatologist that completed a Mohs Micrographic Surgery Fellowship with Dr. Donald J. Grande at Mystic Valley Dermatology in 2011. He has also completed a Melanoma Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. Much of Dr. Wisco’s medical career has been in the military, where he has served over 20 years in the Air Force / Air National Guard and currently holds the rank of Lt Colonel.
Dr. Wisco came back to Mystic Valley Dermatology in 2017 because of the practice’s wonderful patients and to resume working with his mentor, Dr. Grande. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Wisco has been heavily involved in healthcare improvement initiatives through the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD). His work guided the development of the AAD’s national performance measurement system and data registry (DataDerm) for all of dermatology. Currently, he is engaged in several research and education initiatives focused on improving healthcare delivery throughout the United States. Dr. Wisco’s interest in healthcare delivery science parallels his research interest of understanding the risk factors that lead to high-risk skin cancer and advanced melanoma to improve care processes and promote health.
Dr. Wisco works part-time at the Stoneham office as both a Mohs Surgeon and General Dermatologist.
