Laser Skin Tightening
Laser skin tightening is exactly what you might guess from its title as it is a treatment that involves using infrared light on the skin to tighten it up and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This effect is caused by the heat of the laser, which stimulates the collagen under the skin and leads it to contract. This procedure is even more beneficial with microneedling procedures.
Why You Should Consider Laser Skin Tightening
This particular procedure is best for those seeking lasting results that don’t involve the need for surgery. Laser skin tightening also does not require any downtime after treatment, so patients can return to their normal routine immediately without having to worry about taking time to rest and recuperate.
Laser skin tightening treatments can be used on the face and neck. This allows individuals to not only address their concerns of lines and wrinkles of the face and neck but to also boost collagen production.
What Are the Treatments Like?
Every person’s experience will be a bit different depending upon their unique skin type and their personal pain tolerance. While laser skin tightening is not extremely painful, you should expect to feel some discomfort during the process as the laser works to smooth the skin. Most report a prickly sensation as the laser moves across their skin.
Before the technician begins, they will numb the area using a topical anesthetic 60 minutes prior to the appointment or the patient can apply themselves at home in order to make you more comfortable. The entire procedure takes place in one of our convenient office locations in the North Boston area. Patients should expect each session to last for 15 minutes.
It is recommended to receive multiple laser skin tightening treatments in order to maximize your results. This treatment is extremely beneficial 2 weeks post microneedling to boost tighting results. The cost is a minimal add on to a microneedling treatment. This typically consists of about six sessions in total, though the amount can vary on a patient-by-patient basis.
